Controlled Burns: Any landowner planning to have a controlled burn on their property should contact Prince Albert 911 Communications Centre at 1-866-404-4911 to report your intent of having a controlled burn.

Pest Control
Clem Andreas, the R.M. of Miry Creeks Pest Control Officer works with the public to control the rat population within the Municipality. The Pest Control Officer gives information, advice and assistance as well as inspects outbuildings to detect the presence of rats.
A variety of mouse and rat poison is available at the R.M. Office.

LANDFILL
The RM of Miry Creek shares the costs with the Village of Abbey and the Village of Lancer for bins located at the former landfill sites within the municipality and recycling bins located within the Villages.
The bin depot located at the NE-27-20-20-w3rd is owned by the Village of Abbey and is open to the public Monday mornings from 9:00 am to noon. No one is allowed in outside of these hours. Only household garbage and metal, (when a bin is available) can be dropped off
The Village of Abbey has a blue recycling bin located on Railway Ave in Abbey which can accommodate a large quantity of recycling (see below).
The bin depot located at NE-20-21-21-w3rd is owned by the Village of Lancer. Household garbage is placed into a large garbage bin.

NO UNSUPERVISED DUMPING IS ALLOWED
